Command to stop sendmail service :
[root@fedora16 ~]# service sendmail stop 'Redirecting to /bin/systemctl stop sendmail.service
Simply run this command to remove sendmail package on your server :
[root@fedora16 ~]# yum remove sendmail -y
Examples :
